Boston – The 15th Annual International Interior Designers Association (IIDA) Fashion Show and Gala, held in Boston on October 25th, pairs design firms with vendors to create runway looks using the vendors materials based on the theme of the year. This year’s theme was audaCITY inspiring designers to bring themes of duality, fantasy, and creativity. The beneficiary of the event was Team Impact, a non-profit chartered to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses. There were 22 entrees this year 3 of which were student teams. Against 18 of the very best design firms in the Northeast, Harriman took away the prize for Best Use of Materials.
Harriman, headquartered in Maine, partnered with NRF Distributors, Johnsonite Flooring, Tandus Flooring, American Marazzi Tile to create an award winning interpretation based on the Invisible
Cities by Italo Calvino. Four costumes created entirely of flooring materials representing four of the invisible cities.
