Mt. Greylock Historic Restoration

Harriman served as the landscape architects for the restoration of the historic parkways that wind along the ridges leading to Mt. Greylock in the Berkshire Mountains. This reconstruction of routes built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s required a sensitive approach to historic restoration, current environmental principles, and pragmatic needs of today’s visitors. Harriman was part of a multi-disciplinary team, and provided the analysis of the landscape resources, design, and then construction documents for the landscape architecture improvements.
