IT Manager

Harriman’s growing multi-disciplinary practice is seeking an IT Manager to join our team in our Auburn location and support our four office locations: Boston, Portsmouth, Portland and Auburn Maine. As an IT Manager at Harriman, you will have the opportunity to support engineers and architects working on wide range of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Manager is responsible for oversight of the back-office operations. Harriman is contracted with a service provider for the following services: servers, networks, firewall, and basic infrastructure. This person would be the liaison. Additionally, being the main point of contact for employee problem-solving, with importance of strong communication and troubleshooting skills. This position is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s IT needs. Minimal travel is required.

The duties of this position require working knowledge of systems used by Harriman:

  • Windows 10 Desktop
  • Windows 11 Desktop
  • Windows server 2008, 2016 and 2019
  • Windows Exchange server   2019
  • Office and Office 365 Account Management with Ingram Micro portal
  • Barracuda Backup both on premises and cloud.
  • Barracuda Spam Filter
  • Veeam backup for mail repository and VMware server instances.
  • Barracuda Advanced Threat Protection
  • Cisco secure endpoint for servers and workstation
  • Newforma
  • Deltek Vision
  • Revit Terminal Server
  • Avia phone system

Maintain software licensing and contracts and user accounts with core operational software including:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Vision
  • Newforma
  • Bluebeam
  • Adobe
  • Bentley (MicroStation and Ram)
  • Risa
  • Antivirus
  • Assist departments with licensing support for hosted lic farms and trade specific applications.
  • Maintaining the maintenance agreement on equipment

What Will Set You Apart

  • A minimum of a two-year degree in Informational Technology or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing IT support.
