Harriman helped create this new airy, light-filled space acclimates patients to a healthcare environment and promotes wellness. The southern exposure provides an abundance of natural light, while focusing patient views on the beautiful gardens and pond nestled between the hospital and the two wings of the Medical Arts Center.
Separating the waiting area from the exam rooms allows for greater “noise” reduction and increased privacy for patients. Grouping the nurse work areas allows for greater collaboration and patient oversight that was not possible in their previous location. The use of vinyl wood flooring and a warm color palette creates a warm and serene patient experience. The artwork is a collection of vintage postcards of the surrounding communities served by this practice. Patients focus on the vintage images and are transported to another time, adding to the sense of calmness.
