Site Selection Study
Rochester, New York
Harriman worked with Monroe Community College to research, evaluate and recommend potential sites within Rochester’s Inner Loop area to serve as the college’s new downtown campus. A site selection matrix and model was created to evaluate various sites that met MCC’s programming criteria, including building square footage and property size, parking demands, infrastructure availability, transit and transportation access, synergy with adjacent uses, acquisition and construction costs, a college green, and other institutional factors. The selection process was designed to select the best site to meet MCC’s goals of creating a highly visible presence in the City while providing students with the best possible educational facilities and being an integral component and partner in the revitalization of Downtown Rochester.
