Rinck Advertising, a Maine based full-service advertising, media and public relations agency with offices in Lewiston, Maine and Annapolis, Maryland retained Harriman through its subsidiary firm Foreside Architects to relocate its main offices from Auburn, Maine to Lewiston, Maine. Rinck Advertising’s main office is the workplace for 40-plus employees.
The project involved the transformation of a building being used as a warehouse for a large footwear retailer into an exciting, inspirational and creative workplace. The building located at 113 Lisbon Street, was originally designed by architect and former Harriman Associates namesake, Alonzo Harriman in 1928 for former national retailer W.T. Grant as it’s the second store. The structure is a three-story masonry building with a timber and wood-framed interior.
The goal expressed by our clients, Peter and Laura Rinck was to create an inspirationally creative environment capable of housing current staff and allow for future growth in a manner that would offer as many varied work environments and meeting spaces possible. The result accommodates the need for creativity and inspiration for a young and energetic staff of Millennials and Gen X professionals seeking varied office, meeting and conference options, as well as, interactive technology and equipment.
