Harriman was commissioned to turn vision into reality through images of what this new, fully accessible retreat, Travis Mills Foundation, will look like by providing renderings for fundraising efforts.
This historic property, Maine Chance Lodge was once part of Elizabeth Arden’s estate and now the future home of the Travis Mills Foundation Retreat. This private retreat for combat wounded, disabled veterans and their families, was the vision of retired U.S. Army SSG Travis Mills who was critically wounded in 2012 while on tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Harriman re-envisioned what the new retreat would look like by researching the history of the estate as well as using historical images, colors, and materials to create a vision for the modern-day facility that respected the historical grandeur. The interior of the estate was rendered and design to create a residential and lodge-like environment that provides a relaxing and comfortable environment for veterans and their families.
The realistic renderings that Harriman created have helped the Travis Mills Foundation with outreach and fundraising efforts for a project that is now in construction and will soon be a reality for American veterans and their families across the country.
