The Tweeter Center (now called the Xfinity Center) is a 19,900-person performing arts facility. To maintain high quality programming and increase seating options, Harriman was engaged to conduct a feasibility study for increasing the number of fixed seats. Within three months, this study became a $4M reality. A fast-track schedule was set for design, development and off-season construction completion. The project converted a 125,000 s.f. sloped lawn into 7,000 fixed seats with 48,000 s.f. of lawn remaining. Sightlines and circulation improvements, code compliance, and one percent handicap seating were achieved. The firm provided value engineering and construction administration for this on-time, on-budget project. Harriman also produced a landscape design, detailed a 600-space parking lot, and designed a sponsor tent for product marketing.
