Harriman provided construction documents and construction administration services for the installation of an environmental chamber designed by Harris Environmental. The environmental chamber will replicate desert conditions and will maintain a colony of desert mice.
The design parameters for the chamber had been determined by the University and Harris and our role was to determine the sizing and routing of the connections required for the new chamber’s ancillary equipment.
The chamber required a dedicated air handler and condensing unit that contained cooling, heating, humidification and dehumidification capabilities. We anticipated what the equipment required for power, ductwork and piping connections.
We also determined whether or not the loads for the space and connections were available and of adequate capacity to serve the equipment requirements.
